Arbela woman injured in crash west of Luray

LURAY, Mo. -- An Arbela woman was seriously injured in a Sunday morning crash west of Luray.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2002 Ford Escape driven by Beverly A. Dieterich, 78, of Arbela, was heading west on U.S. 136 west of Luray at 10:22 a.m. when it attempted to avoid a deer in the road, ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

Dieterich, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Air Evac to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill, with serious injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Kahoka Rescue Squad, Clark County Ambulance and the Clark County Sheriff's Department.
