New London woman seriously injured in crash north of Saverton

SAVERTON, Mo. — A New London woman was seriously injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash north of Saverton.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2020 Kawasaki utility terrain vehicle driven by Arla J. Rodenbaugh, 78, of New London, was heading north on the shoulder of Mo. 79, 1 mile north of Saverton, at 3:20 p.m. When the UTV attempted to cross Mo. 79, the patrol said it was struck by a northbound 2014 Peterbilt tractor trailer driven by Gregory G. Ragan, 53, of Lewistown.

Rodenbaugh was taken by Air Evac to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Ralls County Ambulance and New London Rural Fire Department.
