Monroe City PD seeks information on missing woman

MONROE CITY, Mo. -- The Monroe City Police Department is looking for information about a missing woman.

Amanda K. Johnston's home at 536 W. Summer, Apartment D, in Monroe City was found burglarized on Wednesday, and the department said there is evidence she could be the victim of a violent crime.

Johnston, 32, is a white female described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 112 pounds with red hair, hazel eyes and a light complexion. Johnston has not been seen for an unknown period of time, and a clothing description is not available.

Her vehicle was found abandoned, the department said, and she does not have a cellphone with her.

Anyone seeing Johnston or with information about her should call 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Monroe City Police Department at 573-735-4411.
