QUINCY -- A January arraignment has been set in the case of a Quincy man charged in the Dec. 4 shooting death of another Quincy man.
Christopher T. Huckstep, 51, will be arraigned on three counts of first-degree murder Jan. 8.
Huckstep appeared briefly Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court with his attorney Chief Public Defender Todd Nelson.
Huckstep is accused of shooting 26-year-old Emond Morris Dec. 4 in the 700 block of Cedar.
The Quincy Police Department was called to the home at 3:36 a.m., and upon arrival, they found Morris dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Police said they found Huckstep a short time later in the 1200 block of North 12th. A firearm reportedly was recovered at the time of Huckstep's arrest.
Huckstep and Morris were reportedly involved in a domestic dispute.
An Adams County grand jury indicted Huckstep on the charges Dec. 5.
He is being held in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
