Married 25 years: Raymond and Jeannie Thomas

Raymond and Jeannie Thomas of 1814 Highland Dr. N., Quincy, are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at the Machinists Local Lodge 822, 2929 No. 5th St., Quincy. This celebration is hosted by the couple and their children, and friends and family are welcome to join the festivities.

Mr. Thomas, and the former Jeannie (Damon) Kuhn, were married Nov. 19, 1994, at St. Francis Catholic Church.

Raymond is a son of the late Walter and Julia (Young) Thomas.

Jeannie is a daughter of the late Gus and Edna (Strange) Damon.

Raymond's daughters are Susan (John) Sheets of Quincy, Lisa (Larry) Senator of Quincy, and Jenifer (Craig) Burwinkel of Fowler.

Jeannie's daughters are Kristina (Tim) Truelove of Bowling Green, Mo., and Kimberly (Billy) Stratman of Quincy. Her step children are Debra (Roger) Klauser, of Lima, Ill., Linda (Terry) Ensminger of Mendon, Ill., Bruce Kuhn of Magnolia, Tex., Brent Kuhn (deceased) wife Lisa of Ewing, Mo., Tamara Kirchner of Murphysboro, Ill., and Brian (Angela) Kuhn of Summerville, S.C.

They have 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Raymond retired from Gardner Denver Co. in April 1996 and works part-time for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He is a member of Knights of Columbus, the Rocky Point Club, the South Side Boat Club, is a life member of the Machinists Local Lodge 822, and is a member of Machinists 822 Retiree Club. He enjoys trout fishing at Bennett Springs, Mo., in the summer.

Jeannie retired from Machinists Local Lodge 822 on Dec. 31, 2018. She is a member of the Machinists Local Lodge 822 and the Machinists 822 Retiree Club. She is president of the Democrat Women's Club and enjoys sewing, babysitting grandkids and volunteering at St. Francis Church.

They are members of St. Francis Catholic Church.
