BARRY, Ill. -- The Pike County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in a reported armed robbery in Barry.
The department said a masked man entered the Barry Jiffi Stop on Oct. 16, displayed a handgun and demanded cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets. Surveillance footage shows a man wearing dressed in black, wearing a black mask and gloves.
During its investigation, the department said the man parked his vehicle in a car wash bay across the street. Surveillance footage revealed the man's face and vehicle, which is a 2008, 2009 or 2010 silver Honda Accord that lacks a front license plate. The Accord has a sunroof, tinted windows and appears to have extensive hail damage to the trunk area.
Deputies also contacted the Illinois Lottery and determined that lottery tickets taken in the robbery were scanned at businesses in Pittsfield, Brussels, Grafton and Caseyville.
