PHILADELPHIA, Mo. -- Three people were injured in a head-on collision at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Marion County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 1991 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by Matthew A. Morrill, 22, of Philadelphia, was heading south on County Road 199, about 4 miles south of Philadelphia, when the vehicle rounded a corner and collided head-on with a northbound 2016 John Deere combine driven by Adam C. Bock, 45, of Palmyra.

Morrill and two passengers were injured. The patrol said Morrill and a 2-year-old unidentified male were taken by private auto to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of what were described as minor injuries. Another passenger, Dakota R. Morrill, 21, of Philadelphia, was flown by Survival Flight to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.

None of the people in the pickup was wearing a seat belt, nor was the driver of the combine, the patrol said.

The Marion County Sheriff's Department and Marion County R-2 Fire Department assisted at the crash scene.
