HANNIBAL, Mo. -- A Hannibal man was injured in a three-vehicle crash at 4:48 p.m. Thursday in St. Charles County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that all three vehicles were heading west on Interstate 70 east of Route Z.

The patrol said a 2014 GMC Yukon driven by Heather M. Martin, 41, of Wright City, and a 2007 GMC 1500 driven by Mark W. Parsons, 60, of Hannibal, had slowed for traffic when a 2010 Lexus driven by Kristal R. Morrow, 46, of Wentzville, failed to stop in time. The front of Morrow's vehicle struck the rear of Parsons' vehicle, which in turn was pushed into the rear of Martin's vehicle.

Parsons reportedly was the only person injured. He was taken by the St. Charles Ambulance District to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis for treatment of what were described as minor injuries.
