Search warrant leads to two arrests in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Ill. -- A search of a Pittsfield home on Thursday morning led to the arrest of two people on drug and weapons charges.

Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood said deputies with his department along with officers from the Pittsfield Police Department and West Central Illinois Drug Task Force executed a search warrant about 10:30 a.m. at a home in the 300 block of East Griggsville Street.

Brandy M. Vincent, 37, was arrested on a charge of possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver 20 to 100 grams, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a look-alike substance (LSD blotter papers).

Also arrested was Gregory D. Santoni, 27, on a charge of possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver 30 to 100 grams, possession of ammunition by a felon and possession of a look-alike substance (LSD blotter papers).

Both are in the Pike County Jail with no bond and are awaiting a court appearance.

Greenwood said help from private citizens played a large role in the arrests. Anyone seeing or hearing anything suspicious should contact law enforcement or call Pike County Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500.
