Carrolton's Jones too much for Brown County

MOUNT STERLING, Ill. -- Carrollton's Gabe Jones scored 33 points in a 75-55 victory over the Brown County boys basketball team on Monday night.

The Hawks (11-17) built a 38-30 lead by halftime. Jones poured in 13 points in the third quarter, helping to extend the lead to 56-43 heading into the final quarter. Brown County (11-14) had only four players score. Camden Schmitz had 18 points, Chance Fuqua had 17 and Brady Bergman added 16 for the Hornets.
