PLEASANT HILL, Ill. -- Two Pleasant Hill residents were arrested on drug charges after a home in the Pike County community was searched Tuesday.
Arrested were Rebecca N. Orr, 37, on charges of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and Timothy D. Shanks, 36, on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Pike County Sheriff's Department said deputies along with officers from the Pleasant Hill Police Department and the West Central Illinois Task Force served a search warrant at a house in the 700 block of Houston and reportedly found methamphetamine, plastic baggies, drug paraphernalia, prescription medication and U.S. currency.
Police said Shanks was on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections. He was released from prison Jan. 22.
Also assisting with the investigation was the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
