Hannibal woman faces drug, child endangerment charges

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Amber Gregory was charged Monday with possession of meth and child endangerment for allegedly having drugs in close proximity to a 4-year-old child.

Hannibal Police Department executed a search warrant in the 1500 block of 29th Street and found the drugs and paraphernalia near the child who was living in the residence.

The Marion County Children's Division was called to the scene handled placement of the child.

Marion County Prosecutor David Clayton said Gregory is facing two class D felonies carrying a range of punishment up to seven years on each count, one year in jail or a $10,000 fine on both. Her first court appearance is expected to be Oct. 12.

Gregory is in the Marion County Jail and bond was set at $25,000 cash only.
