Quincy man injured in Missouri crash

TAYLOR, Mo. -- A Quincy, Ill., man was seriously injured in an early Saturday morning crash east of Taylor.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 2017 Ford Explorer driven by William McGahan, 45, was traveling each on the U.S. 24 outer road, 1 mile east of Taylor, at 2:45 a.m. The patrol said the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, became airborne, struck an embankment and came to rest on its wheels.

McGahan, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Air Evac to Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

The patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Palmyra Fire Department, Marion County Ambulance and Air Evac.
