CARTHAGE, Ill. -- A Carthage man was arrested on drug-related charges Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Locust and First streets in Carthage.
The Hancock County Sheriff's Department said Jacob E. Hester, 34, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. on a warrant charging him with two counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony.
Hester was taken to the Hancock County Jail to await arraignment. He is being held on $50,000 bond.
If convicted, the sheriff's office said, Hester faces three to seven years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000.
