Harry and Sue Gleckler of 106 Mill St., New Salem, are observing their 60th wedding anniversary. A family celebration was held June 2 at the home of their daughter, Nancy Halpin in Pittsfield. The event was hosted by their children.
Mr. Gleckler and the former Sue Thurmon were married June 15, 1958, at Milton Christian Church in Milton.
Mrs. Gleckler is a daughter of the late Neal and Venise (Sanderson) Thurmon. Mr. Gleckler is a son of the late Bill and Wilma (Dean) Gleckler.
They are the parents of Bradley Gleckler of New Salem, Nancy (Tim) Halpin of Pittsfield and Gail (Mike) Jones of Crown Point, Ind. They have three grandchildren.
Mr. Gleckler is a lifelong farmer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and continues to visit with Army friends across the United States.
Mrs. Gleckler taught junior high English in the Griggsville/Perry school system for 35 years.
They have farmed all of their married lives and have exhibited Hereford cattle at most local county and state fairs.
