Culver-Stockton College announces student awards

CANTON, Mo. -- Culver-Stockton College continued its tradition of honoring the accomplishments of students during the annual Honors Day Convocation May 13.

Area students were received awards were:

William Jackson, a sophomore musical education major from New London, was awarded he Ellen Bowlin Boulware Endowed Vocal Music Award.

Rachel Johnson, a sophomore biological chemistry major from Pittsfield, Ill., was awarded the Freshman Chemistry Achievement Award.

Kimberly Armstrong, a senior accounting and finance major from Memphis, Mo., was awarded the GH Stenn Award for Outstanding Achievement in ACCT.

Maria Clark, a senior graphic design major from Canton, was awarded the J. David Bursewicz Senior Scholarship Award, the Phi Eta Sigma Book Award and the Thomas M. and Sharon J. Spoerner Art Award.

Amy Durst, a junior nursing major from Durham, was awarded the Junior Scholarship Award.

Joshua Lee, a senior legal studies major from Canton, was awarded the Lambda Chi Alpha Award.

Donald Gee, a senior history major from Hamilton, Ill., was awarded the Mary Kane Bona Award.

Meghan Townley, a senior media communication major from Quincy, Ill., was awarded the Outstanding Graduate in Communication Award and the the Wood Citizenship Awards.

Jaclyn Duffy, a senior mathematical education major from Ferris, Ill., was awarded the Pi Lambda theta Award and the the Susan V. Leftwich Spirit of Culver-Stockton College Award.

Rhea Hobson, a junior psychology and occupational therapy major from Griggsville, Ill., was awarded the Sophomore Scholarship Award for Women.

Stanley Hilgenbrinck, a junior studio art major from Liberty, Ill., was awarded the Thomas M. and Sharon J. Spoerner Art Award.

Jessica Shackleton, a senior studio art major from Quincy, was awarded the Georgia O'Keefe Memorial Art Award.
