Two Shelbina youth were injured in a roll-over accident at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday on Route T, seven miles north of Lakenan.

Drew A. Mefford, 16, and his passenger, Bailey A. Mefford, 14, both of Shelbina, were taken by Salt River Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

A 1997 Ford F150 pickup truck was traveling north when it went off the right side of the road. The driver overcorrected causing the truck to veer off the left side of the road and overturn, coming to rest on its wheels, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The driver was wearing a seat belt, but the passenger was not, police said.

Also assisting were the Shelby County Sheriff's Department and the Shelbyville Rural Fire Department.
