Dans rally in ninth to beat Cavemen

Andrew Daniel doubled home the winning win with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning as Danville beat Hannibal 5-4 in a Prospect League game at Danville, Ill. Hannibal took a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth on Daniel Peters' RBI single. The Dans then scored the tying run on Christopher Newcomb's solo home run with one out in the ninth. The Cavemen trailed 3-1 before tying the score at 3 in the sixth on Ian Sikes' RBI double and Ryan Light's run-scoring single. Light and Peters led Hannibal with two hits apiece. The Cavemen, 13-13 in the second half, will play at Danville again at 6:35 p.m. Friday.
