A Perry, Ill., truck driver escaped injury in a car-truck accident at 1:04 p.m. Monday on Mo. 32 at I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County.

However, two persons in the car, Franz A. Meier, 76, and his passenger, Mary M. Meier, 72, both of Cape Girardeau, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Ste. Genevieve Hospital by ambulance.

A 2012 Peterbilt Conventional truck-tractor driven by Terry J. Snider, 49, of Perry, was eastbound on Mo. 32 and a 2011 Toyota was traveling south on the I-55 exit ramp at Mo. 32 when the car apparently failed to yield to the truck and hit the truck in the left side, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
