Clayton man injured in motorcycle accident near Golden

GOLDEN, Ill. -- A Clayton motorcyclist was seriously injured at 7:28 p.m. Sunday on East 2903rd Street, half a mile south of North 2200 Avenue, south of Golden.

Justin A. Zanger, 29, was taken by Air Evac to Blessing Hospital in Quincy where he was reported in critical condition at noon Monday.

A 2007 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softtail was traveling south on East 2903rd when it failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road, according to the Adams County Sheriff's Department.

Zanger was ticketed on a charge of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Also assisting were the Adams County Ambulance and Golden Fire Department.
