Barry driver injured near Hull

HULL, Ill. -- A Barry driver was injured in a car-truck accident at 5:03 p.m. Friday on Ill. 106, near the intersection with Ill. 96 at Hull.

Ashley E. Niffen, 26, was taken by Pike County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, where she was treated and later released.

The Illinois State Police report Niffen was driving on Ill. 106 and had slowed for a vehicle in front of her that was making a left turn onto Ill. 96 when a 2012 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Scott M. Bradshaw, 37, of Kinderhook, collided with the rear of her vehicle.

Bradshaw was ticketed on a charge of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and Niffen was ticketed on a charge of driving while license was suspended.

Also assisting were the Hull-Kinderhook Fire Department and Pike County Sheriff's Department.
