Host Springfield used a three-run sixth inning Saturday to snap a 2-2 tie en route to a 7-3 Prospect League victory over Hannibal.

The Cavemen had tied the game in the top of the sixth when Jared Foster scored on a double steal. The Sliders, who are second in the West Division, put the game away in the bottom of the inning with two run-scoring singles and a sacrifice fly.

Tyler Filliben had two hits for Hannibal, which fell to 7-9 in the second half and 23-23 over. Hannibal is now five games behind division-leading Terre Haute. The Cavemen and Sliders (10-8, 20-25) will wrap up their series at 6:35 tonight in Springfield.
