EWING, Mo. -- The collision of a truck and SUV at 1:40 p.m. Thursday on Mo. 156 at Route 6, six miles west of Ewing, slightly injured a Grandview driver.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a southbound 1996 Jeep SUV driven by Edward L. Brantley, 71, of Grandview, apparently failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a westbound 1964 Peterbilt truck-tractor driven by George F. Dodd, 60, of LaBelle.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, police said.

Brantley suffered minor injuries and was taken by Lewis Count Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., for treatment.

Also assisting were the Lewis County Sheriff's Department, and LaBelle Fire and Rescue.
