Bowling Green driver injured in Lincoln County

LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. --A Bowling Green driver was slightly injured at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Mo. 47 east of Gravens in Lincoln County.

Sue L. Carr, 73, was taken by Lincoln County Ambulance to St. Joseph's West Hospital in Lake St. Louis.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Carr was driving a 1997 Buick LeSabre when she slowed for a stopped vehicle and was struck in the rear by an eastbound 2002 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Ralph E. Welch, 39, of Winfield. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, police said.
