Published: 7/31/2012 | Updated: 5/18/2013

The city of Carthage is asking all residents to voluntarily conserve water whenever possible until further notice.

Carthage Lake, the city's water source, is at critical level due to the current drought condition, according to city officials.

Suggestions include restricting water usage for swimming pools, plants and flowers, lawn irrigation and washing vehicles until further notice.
