Mr. and Mrs. Timothy O'Neill are at home in Quincy after honeymooning in Negril, Jamaica.

Mr. O'Neill and the former Miss Julia Liesen, both of Quincy, were married at 2 p.m. May 26 in St. Peter Catholic Church. Monsignor Leo Enlow and the Rev. Michael Fuller officiated.

The bride is a daughter of John and Judy Liesen of 2821 Scotia Trail. The bridegroom is a son of Norma O'Neill of Algonquin and the late Daniel O'Neill.

The bride was given in marriage by her father during the 2 p.m. ceremony. Also participating in the ceremony were Jane Schwartz, aunt of the bride, Brian Maher, uncle of the bridegroom, and Kristin Liesen, cousin of the bride, readers; Chris and Madelyn O'Neill, nephew and niece of the bridegroom, servers; Peg Maher and Pam Ring, aunts of the bridegroom, and Janet Schreacke, aunt of the bride, gift bearers; and Richard Hilgenbrink and Jeff Liesen, uncles of the bride, extraordinary ministers.

Matron of honor was Jacquelyn Liggett of Bloomington, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashley Tonkin of Riverside; Megan Warren of Santa Clara, Calif., cousin of the bride; Joni Hannon of Pella, Iowa; Jenny Liesen of Clarksville, Tenn., sister-in-law of the bride; and Katie Vidal, sister of the bridegroom.

Best men were Matthew Hall of Roselle and Joseph Sevcik of Streamwood. Groomsmen were Patrick O'Neill of McHenry and Kevin O'Neill of Harvard, brothers of the bridegroom; Justin Liesen of Clarksville, brother of the bride; and Alfredo Vidal of Quincy, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Kurtis Liggett of Bloomington, brother-in-law of the bride, and John Zuerlein of Addison.

Flower girls were Brigid and Chloe O'Neill, nieces of the bridegroom, and ring bearers were Colin and Liam O'Neill, nephews of the bridegroom, and Samuel Liesen, nephew of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner was held May 25 in the Patio, hosted by Mrs. Daniel O'Neill. A reception was held from 6:30 to 11 p.m. in the Ambiance. On May 27, the bridal couple hosted a wedding luncheon at the bride's parents' home.

The bride graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School in 2004, from Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, in 2008 with a bachelor of science degree in psychology and exercise science and a minor in biology, and from Rockhurst University in 2011 with a doctorate of physical therapy. She is employed by Advance Physical Therapy.

The bridegroom graduated from H.D. Jacobs High School in 2001 and from Lewis University in Romeoville in 2005 with a bachelor of science degree in aviation administration. He is a financial analyst at Allied Blending and Ingredients in Keokuk, Iowa.

Bridal showers in honor of the couple were hosted by the bridegroom's family, the bride's family and Advance Physical Therapy.
