The eighth-grader at St. Peter in Quincy won the 13-14 national championship last year, and he defeated 82 runners to capture the 15-16 national championship on Saturday at McAlpine Park. In fact, Rosen's time of 15:48.1 was 24 seconds faster than anyone in the 15-16 race and seven seconds faster than the time posted by Caleb McCurdy, a high school senior who won the boys 17-18 race.
