URSA, Ill. -- A person who contacted the Ursa Farmers Cooperative last Wednesday claimed to have accessed the grain elevator company's computer system.

General Manager Roger Hugenberg said the co-op immediately disconnected its system and notified local authorities. The co-op sent letters to its customer to make them aware of the alleged breach.

"We take that very seriously," Hugenberg said. "We're investigating now."

Adams County Sheriff Brian VonderHaar told WGEM that his office handed over the investigation to federal authorities.
