Naperville woman arrested on cocaine charge in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Ill. -- A Naperville woman was taken into custody on a drug charge Tuesday after a traffic stop in Pittsfield.

Pittsfield Police Chief Ken Yelliott said a Pittsfield police officer stopped a vehicle that he thought was speeding. During the stop, the officer found probable cause to search the vehicle and seized 7 grams of cannabis and 1.5 grams of powder cocaine.

Arianna Burrell, 21, was charged with possession of cocaine and taken to the Pike County Jail. The Pike County Sheriff's Department assisted.
