Strong hits game-winning 3-pointer in OT for Knox County

EDINA, Mo. -- The Knox County basketball team needed overtime to beat Louisiana 55-53 in a non-conference game Saturday night.

Dylan Strong knocked down a 3-pointer with 1 minute, 30 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Eagles (5-6) a two-point lead. Strong hauled in the defensive rebound after a missed shot on Louisiana's final possession to seal the victory.

Knox County had a chance to win the game in regulation, but Logan Miller missed two free throws with 29 seconds remaining with the game tied at 49.

Hayden Miller finished with 19 points to lead Knox County.

Louisiana's Derek Richards led all scorers with 28 points.
