C-SE can't finish second-half comeback

CAMP POINT, Ill. -- The Central-Southeastern girls basketball team nearly overcame a 12-point halftime deficit but lost 46-41 to Lewistown, ranked No. 5 in Class 1A, in the Central Lady Panther Classic.

Laney Lantz scored seven points to help Central-Southeastern (12-8) outscore Lewistown 14-4 and get within two points going into the fourth quarter. However, the Panthers made just two field goals in the fourth quarter and was outscored 10-7.

Lantz led Central-Southeastern with 18 points. Jacey Nall and Kennady Marlow each added nine points for the Panthers.
