Solid free-throw shooting gives Unity victory

CAMP POINT, Ill. -- The Unity girls basketball team made 14 of 17 free throws during the fourth quarter as it held on to beat Liberty 60-49 Friday night in the Lady Panther Classic.

The Mustangs led the Eagles 40-30 after the third quarter. Addison Miller led Unity at the line by making 9 of 12 free throws in the final quarter.

Unity led Liberty 25-21 at halftime before outscoring the Eagles 15-9 in the third quarter.

Miller finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and six steals for the Mustangs (11-12), while Katie Conry scored 23 points.

Paige Knuffman led Liberty (6-16) with 15 points, followed by Taryn Roe with 14 and Izzy Gimm with 10.
