Porter leads Chargers over Suns

CARTHAGE, Ill. -- Jackson Porter led the Illini West boys basketball team with 25 points in a 64-51 victory over Southeastern in the Hancock County Tournament Friday night.

Porter knocked down four 3-pointers on the night. Kennedy Gooding and Carter Boyer scored 14 points apiece for Illini West (9-8).

The Chargers led 34-16 at halftime.

Southeastern's Jaise Heaton scored a game-high 28 points on the strength of five treys. Chase Twidwell added 12 for the Suns (3-12).
