Palmyra drops CCC road contest at Centralia

CENTRALIA, Mo. -- A seven-point halftime lead didn't last for the Palmyra boys basketball team in a 63-60 Clarence Cannon Conference loss to Centralia Friday night.

Palmyra, ranked 10th in Class 3, led 32-25 at halftime before Guy Moran scored 11 points during the third quarter to help Centralia tie the score at 46.

Centralia went 6 for 6 at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.

The teams combined for 15 3-pointers with Palmyra making eight. Ragar McKinney made four threes while scoring a team-high 19 points. Peyton Plunkett finished with 17 points for the Panthers (8-4, 0-2).

Moran led Centralia (8-6, 0-1) with 23 points.
