Hornets use tough defense to top Rebels

CAMP POINT, Ill. -- The Brown County girls basketball team held South Fulton to two field goals and 10 points in the first half in a 35-23 victory in the Central Lady Panther Classic Friday night.

The Hornets (13-10) led 17-10 at halftime and outscored South Fulton 13-8 in the final quarter.

Ally Heldt led Brown County with 13 points, and Mariah Markert added eight points for the Hornets.
