Hannibal falls in consolation championship

WARRENTON, Mo. -- The Hannibal girls basketball team lost to O'Fallon Christian 66-38 in the consolation championship game of the Warrenton Tournament Friday.

O'Fallom Christian (5-4) outscored the Pirates 19-7 in the first quarter. Hannibal (5-9) hung around in the second quarter thanks to five points by Kaylee Falconer but still trailed 32-17 at halftime.

O'Fallon Christian's Abby King scored nine points in the third quarter as the Eagles extended their lead.

Falconer and Keri Bareis led the Pirates with 10 points each.
