First quarter dooms Highland in loss to Macon

EWING, Mo. -- A slow start cost the Highland boys basketball team in a 72-50 Clarence Cannon Conference loss to Macon Friday night.

Highland (3-12) trailed 24-8 after the opening eight minutes.

Despite better play in the second quarter, Highland trailed Macon 37-22 at halftime.

Highland's Keetan Johnston finished with 16 points to lead the Cougars.
