LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Katie Heiligenstein scored a goal four minutes into the first overtime period to give the Quincy University women's soccer a 1-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over Bellarmine Sunday afternoon.

Heiligenstein collected a rebound shot by Mary Maloney before scoring her fourth goal of the season.

The match was played in heavy rain, which postponed the men's contest until Monday. It resulted in a large amount of water to stand on the artificial playing surface.

The Hawks (10-2, 8-1 GLVC) outshot the Knights 17-8, with eight of those on goal. Three of Bellarmine's four shots on goal came during the first half, and QU keeper Megan Swanson saved all three.

QU had a pair of chances to score early in the second half but both were turned away by Bellarmine keeper Taylor Smith.

The game winner was set up when Natalie Quisenberry took a corner kick. Maloney came up with the loose ball and took a shot, which bounced to Heiligenstein.

The Hawks return home to play Indianapolis in a GLVC match at 5 p.m. Friday at Legends Stadium.
