LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Quincy University men's soccer team gave up two goals early in the second half and fell to Bellarmine 2-0 Monday in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match.
The Hawks and Knights were forced to play Monday due to weather on Sunday.
The Knights (7-4, 5-4 GLVC) tallied three shots in the first two minutes, but none were able to find the mark. QU (5-6, 4-5 GLVC) recorded just one shot in the first half, despite three corner kicks.
QU had an early chance to score in the second half on a shot by John Conley, but his shot was turned away by the Bellarmine goaltender.
In the 49th minute of action, the Knights' Callum Southern took a shot from 10 yards out and scored to put the Knights up 1-0. Eight minutes later, Southern struck again from 12 yards away to double Bellarmine's lead.
The Hawks were outshot 15-6 and registered only two shots on goal.
