To The Herald-Whig:

A great big thanks and gratitude to Sharon Ball, the mail carrier who delivered our mail on South Eighth on April 3, for staying with Gary after he fell and for calling 911.

She had a large letter that wouldn't fit in the mailbox, so she had to bring it to the door. When she knocked on the door, Gary called her, and she came in. He was right there by the front door. She got him a towel to help with the bleeding on his elbow, and she stayed with him till I got home. She asked if we would be OK till the ambulance got here. We said we would be fine.

We would also like to thank the ambulance crew for getting Gary up and back in his chair and for wrapping his elbow that he hurt.

Then the next day he got a get-well card from Sharon and G.W. She was wonderful, so this is a big thank you to all of them for their help.
