MEMPHIS, Mo. -- Olivia Jarvis allowed just one hit Thursday, but that runner didn't matter as she was out on the bases.

It was the only blemish Jarvis had in the Canton softball team's 11-0 victory over Schuyler County in the Class 1 District 11 semifinals. Canton (16-5) advances to play Scotland County (16-8), a 3-2 winner over Knox County in the other semifinal, in Saturday's district final.

"It was awesome to watch," Canton coach Jonathan Bastien said. "She was super sharp. It gives all the more reason to look forward to her next start."

Canton's Laken Hugenberg led off the bottom of the second with a double and scored to fuel a three-run frame. Canton blew the game open with a seven-run third inning, which was highlighted by Abby Hultz's bases-clearing triple.

Jarivs allowed just one hit while striking out eight.

Canton banged out 10 hits. Hugenberg had three hits and scored three times, while Abby Jarvis had two hits and scored twice.
