Harry and Frances Vonholt of 1547 E. 2950th St., Clayton, Ill., celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner Aug. 26 at their home, hosted by their children and grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Vonholt were married Aug. 28, 1952, at the home of the Rev. Mauch in Quincy.
Mrs. Vonholt, the former Frances Coggeshall, is a daughter of the late James and Pearl Coggeshall of Clayton. Mr. Vonholt is a son of the late Elmer and Nora Vonholt, also of Clayton.
They are the parents of Steve (Jan) Vonholt of Clayton, Deb (Steve) Clair of Quincy and Janet (Kevin) Allison of Camp Point, Ill. They have seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Vonholt is a farmer and is involved with all farming operations, including his cattle. He is an active member of Clayton American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He recently retired as Concord Township clerk after 36 years, and also was a Pioneer Seed salesman for 36 years. He is an avid Cardinals fan and watches all the games.
Mrs. Vonholt is an active member of the Clayton Auxiliary and Christian Women's Fellowship, and is a member of the Busy Bee Club. She enjoys reading and family gatherings.
They are members of Clayton Christian Church.
The two were high school sweethearts at Clayton High School.
