BOWLING GREEN, Mo. -- A teen was injured in a Monday night crash east of Bowling Green.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2007 Ford F150 driven by John E. Grigsby, 16, of Bowling Green, was northbound on Pike County Road 280, two-tenths of a mile south of Pike County Road 282, at 5:30 p.m. The patrol said the vehicle traveled partially off the right side of the road, then slid across the center of the road and traveled partially off the left side of the road. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slide across the center of the road and travel off the right side of the road where it struck an embankment, several trees and a fence.

Grigsby, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Pike County Ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis (West) with minor injuries.
