Quincy man arrested after authorities find meth, indoor cannabis growing operation

QUINCY -- A Quincy man was arrested Monday after law enforcement discovered an indoor cannabis growing operation during the execution of a search warrant.

The West Central Illinois Task Force and the Adams County Sheriff's Office served the warrant at about 7:30 p.m. Monday at 6027 Hickory Grove South, where Jerome M. Mason, 28, lives. In addition to the indoor cannabis growing operation, the task force also seized methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Mason was taken into custody at 808 Maine, charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine and lodged in the Adams County Jail.
