Bob and Sandra Moore

Bob and Sandra Moore of 1823 York Lane will be honored for 60 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 16 at First Christian Church, 1415 Maine. Family and friends are invited; they request no gifts.

Mr. Moore and the former Sandra McKenzie were married Aug. 17, 1957, at First Christian Church.

Mrs. Moore is a daughter of the late Boyd and Gertrude McKenzie. Mr. Moore is a son of the late Joe and Myra Belle Moore.

They are the parents of a daughter, Jennifer (Jim) Barrow of Buffalo, Wyo. They have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Moore was principal of Monroe School and had been employed by the Quincy Public Schools for 45 years, retiring in 2002. He enjoys fly fishing, hunting and golf.

Mrs. Moore retired in 2003 as an elementary school teacher, having been employed by the Quincy Public Schools for 45 years. She enjoys needlework, crafts, cooking and baking.

They are members of First Christian Church, where they both volunteer, and enjoy traveling. They were charter members of the Quincy Racquet Club and played tennis for many years.

The Moores were high school sweethearts and dated for five years before getting married.
