Canton soccer takes second in Moberly

MOBERLY, Mo. -- The Canton boys soccer team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Fort Osage in the championship game to take second place in the Moberly Tournament Saturday.

Fort Osage scored all three of its goals in the first half.

Earlier in the day, Canton beat Fatima 4-2 to advance to the title game.

Canton scored all four goals in the first half to take a 4-2 lead. Canton's Ethan Wingerter opened up the scoring in the fifth minute.

Fatima, however, answered with two goals just two minutes apart.

Canton answered as Cameron Kirchner tied the game, and Trey Metz gave the Tigers the lead. Marty Cobb added a goal to make it 4-2.

Levi Lindsey had two assists for Canton.
