Mr. and Mrs. Jacob L. Messmer are at home at 2309 Adams after exchanging wedding vows May 6 at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
The bride is the former Nadine E. O'Brien of 2309 Adams, daughter of the late Anthony and Lucille Frericks. The bridegroom, of 1703 Center Granview, is a son of Hattie Messmer of Imperial, Mo., and the late Jacob Messmer.
The bride was given in marriage by her son, Nick O'Brien, during the 1 p.m. ceremony conducted by the Rev. Thomas Donovan. Music was provided by Bob and Bonnie Nytes. Jackson Meyer and Brandon Lease were servers, and Mark Frericks and Marcia Frericks were communion ministers.
Bridesmaids were Amanda O'Brien and Katie O'Brien, daughters of the bride, and Sydney Banks, daughter of the bridegroom.
Groomsmen were Jacob C. Messmer, son of the bridegroom, and Nick O'Brien.
Ushers were Allen Banks, son-in-law of the bridegroom, and Jerry Menke.
The bridal couple hosted a rehearsal dinner May 5 at Golden Corral. A reception began at 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus.
The newlyweds plan a wedding trip in the winter of 2018.
The bride is a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and is a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Quincy. She is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Fox Senior High School in Arnold, Mo., and is a route sales representative at Aramark Uniform Services in Quincy. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Anthony Catholic Church.
