After honeymooning in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Mr. and Mrs. Gentry Ideus are at home in Dallas.
Mr. Ideus, of Dallas, formerly of Golden, Ill., and the former Lauren Whan, also of Dallas, formerly of Camp Point, Ill., exchanged wedding vows April 22 at Miramar Beach in Destin, Fla.
The bride is a daughter of Merl and Kelly Whan of Camp Point. The bridegroom is a son of Gary and Robin Ideus of Golden.
Eric Partin of Destin conducted the 5:30 p.m. ceremony; the bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Alex Tribble of Camp Point. Man of honor was Joseph Vollbracht of St. Louis. Bridesmaids were Olivia Scalise, Catelyn Eddington and Daedra Gesellschap, all of St. Louis, and the bridegroom's sister, Janae Zenk of Oswego, Ill.
Best man was Gavin Ideus of Golden, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Brandon Ihrig of Overland Park, Kan., Zac Main of Camp Point, Austin Stearns of St. Louis and the bridegroom's brother-in-law, Alex Zenk of Oswego.
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner April 21 at the Cabana Cafe at Miramar Beach. A reception was held at the Seascape Resort, also at Miramar Beach.
The bride graduated from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. She is a social media community manager of Friendemic in Dallas.
The bridegroom graduated from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. He is employed by the Federal Deposit of Insurance in Dallas.
