QUINCY -- A homeless man is being held in the Adams County Jail pending his first court appearance after he was arrested Thursday on a charge of possession of child pornography.

The Quincy Police Department said it was provided information on July 18 that Wesley A. Simmons, 46, obtained and possessed pornographic images of children on his laptop computer. During an investigation, the Illinois State Police Crime Lab reportedly found multiple images of child pornography on the computer.

Police found Simmons Thursday at 511 1/2 Washington, where he was arrested.
