Tornadoes unable to finish seventh-inning rally

ASTORIA, Ill. -- The Griggsville-Perry baseball team's seventh-inning rally came up just short, resulting in a 10-9 loss Thursday to South Fulton.

The Tornadoes trailed 10-4 heading to the seventh, but scored five runs with two outs. Following an error that allowed the first run of the inning to score, Mike Harris, Tucker Kuzeman and Karson Dewitt each singled to drive in a run. The fifth run of the inning scored on an error before a strikeout ended the game.?South Fulton built its lead with a six-run first inning and a three-run sixth inning.

Colton Ivey went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Griggsville-Perry.
